Chris Winpenny
I joined the SWALLOW board as Treasurer in 1998. Most of my career was spent working in the Bristol area as Financial Controller and Finance Director in a number of companies in the building material and building services sectors. In 1998 I started my own business in Bath selling fireplaces and central heating systems. I sold the business in 2007 when I retired.
When I joined the SWALLOW board my main role was that of Treasurer as the charity had very little financial or accounting resources to call on. Over the years this situation has improved and developed considerably so while I still take responsibility for finance and accounting matters on the Trustee Board I hope that I bring a wide business experience to our discussions as well as the background knowledge of SWALLOW as the longest serving Trustee. Outside SWALLOW, I have been married to Anne for 40 years and our two children and four grandchildren keep us very busy.
