Supported Housing - News Flash! Supported Housing now available with SWALLOW

Redfield Road
SWALLOW currently supports tenants living in purpose built property in Redfield Road, Midsomer Norton, here we provide tailored one to one support for each tenant.

Floating Support
SWALLOW also provides floating support, when required, to people living in the local community. We are looking to develop further supported housing opportunities in the future.

Base House
This is our training house in Midsomer Norton, here in a warm and welcoming environment people with learning disabilities can stay overnight and experience for themselves what it is like to live away from home. This break from the families or carers also gives our members respite and can avoid crisis situations developing. The Base House also works closely with local schools such as Fosse Way School and Three Ways School, for further information please contact Bev or Derek on 01761 414034.

Work Skills Enterprise Scheme
This new scheme aims to give our members the skills and experience they need for successful work placements, we have currently have vacancies for people who are genuinely interested in gaining employment. Click here or ring 01761 414034 for further information.

Fit for LIfe Programme
We have just launched a new scheme to encourage our members to get fitter and healthier, if you would like to know more about the support that we can offer please contact Vicki Clark on vickic@swallowcharity.org

Education and Training
SWALLOW runs a series of courses to develop independent life skills and creativity allowing each person to fulfil their full potential. The courses that we run include art therapy, poetry and video, healthy fun and fitness, drama and pottery. They are great fun and meet the needs of all abilities. Information Centre
At the SWALLOW Office we have a wide range of information available. Staff are happy to help provide support for members, their parents and carers to access information from the internet and from written publications. We are happy arrange sessions by appointment. Social Activities/Fun Club
SWALLOW's monthly "fun club" provides a range of social activities click here to see what is planned. We are currently planning more activities, please call Bev with you ideas as soon as possible on 01761 414034.

Supported Employment
Wherever possible we offer our members supported employment opportunities within our organisation.
