As it’s SWALLOW Charity's 30th birthday this year, We are excited to be launching our upcoming ‘Thirty for 30’ Schools Challenge which will be taking place throughout June.
SWALLOW supports teenagers and adults with learning disabilities in and around Midsomer Norton, to live life to the full. We rely on fundraising income and this year for our special birthday we are hoping to raise at least £30,000.
We are inviting local schools to take part and support our charity. We have designed a ‘Schools’ Challenge’, which includes a special challenge sheet for the children with 15
’30 themed’ activities to complete – at home or at school. To enter we would ask children to donate £1 and there are prizes to be won such as stickers, key rings and sweets.
Additionally, we are asking schools to hold some fun, sponsored challenges. These could include activities such as 30 star jumps for key stage 1 pupils or running 30 laps around the playground for key stage 2. Of course, you would also be welcome to think of your own group challenge to suit your school setting.
Please see the below information poster and if you know a school who would like to get involved please do let us know by emailing fundraising@swallowcharity.org or by calling 01761 414034 and asking for the Fundraising Team.
